Then, the Office 365 setup wizard automatically configures the domain name’s DNS records to work with the products you select, such as Exchange, Lync™, and SharePoint®.
If you don’t have a custom domain name for your business, you’re missing out. A custom domain name promotes your business name and inspires customer confidence. Your Office 365 account comes with a microsoft.com subdomain, such as coolexample.microsoft.com. Having your email address at your business name (think sales@coolexample.com) is much more professional that using an address like sales@coolexample.microsoft.com. How does it work?
To purchase a GoDaddy domain name, log in to the Office 365 admin center and search for available domain names. When you find the perfect domain for your business, continue to GoDaddy.com to complete the purchase. Then, return to Office 365, and it automatically configures the DNS settings. Easy peasy!
